State of Mind.

Still on that vague road with no destination or goal, I. Facing failure, disappointment and despair while aiming for happiness with only hope in mind and with no signs leading to it. Having a hard time going through the journey, the journey of life. After a long mentally and psychologically exhausting inner conflict, I came to the conclusion that it cannot be a one-man journey. Whether one likes it or not, in my case not, one will need others' interventions, help and support every now and then. Thus, barely walking along the road have I been, striving to keep my feet on the ground while the hits went on coming. Decisions always need to be taken and an end to similar future states of mind should be constantly and immediately put.

2012 Summary

As the year's coming to an end, I have decided to take a few moments to reflect upon its most important events and, boy they were numerous! 2012 will surely have a special place in my heart for many years to come. It was the year I turned 18, graduated from school, went to college and been through a lot throughout the whole year. It was the year in which I was practically introduced to volunteer work, organized/participated in my first event: TEDxSalon under the roof of TEDxAlexandriaU. The year I was introduced to the civil society and the year in which I participated in my first informal education project, The Model of The European Union (MEU'12) organized by the local youth initiative, Step Up, and the same year I have decided to become a civil activist. A year that has been full of disappointments, failures and misfortunes. But, also a year that has been full of experiences and roughly taught lessons. If I could sum up the whole year in two words they would be: The Beginning. The past year has simply been a tiny glimpse of how life could be, cruel, that is. And, also, of how wonderful it could be if you know how to live it right. With one week left to go, I can easily say that I have no regrets for anything I have done, but I may should have done a few more. I don't know what 2013 has for me, but I can't wait to find out! Making the best out of everything will be my motto. Living up to my own very high standards will be my motivation. And, achieving beyond my goals will be my ambition!
