Why Are You Here?

As life rapidly goes by, we should often pause it for a moment and think, analyze or reflect. Questions requiring answers must be answered, questions such as: Why are you here? What is your purpose in life? What are your goals and ambitions; what do you strive for? Are you satisfied with what you’re doing with your life? If not, what are you doing to change this? Many people would agree upon the fact that life should be simpler and doesn't require such analysis and deep thought, they believe that we should simply live our lives and enjoy everything we’re doing with it. I cannot disagree with them. Life is much more interesting when you’re living on the edge, experiencing anything and everything, exploring; going everywhere, seeing everyone, learning and doing everything you can possibly do, and I dream of living this life. What should always be kept in mind is having a purpose, a goal, a target. Being ambitious and setting life-long goals gives life meaning, and existence a purpose. I could explain my life’s purpose in one phrase: I’m here to learn and to teach. I’m here to leave my fingerprint, to make a difference, to live a useful human being. I’m here to get inspired, and to inspire. To lead and to follow, to add something new to this world, and I’m certain that each and every human being’s existence has a purpose; everyone is here for a reason. You just have to find yours.

The Irony of Life

Half a day off, and I find myself sorrowed. Having busy days and always having things to do takes your mind off a lot of shit. On the contrary, having nothing to do allows your mind/imagination to over-think lame insignificant issues or even worse create some. But since when do we get what we need, when we need it? This shouldn't be a surprise. The routine I’m stuck in keeps getting more suffocating by the day. That strong desire for radical change is becoming stronger while hope is fading and faith is vanishing. You know you’re lost when you're always waiting for something, always looking for something, and not heading anywhere. This feeling of loss and uncertainty is purely coming from within, mainly due to the fact that I often doubt my existence in this specific place and at this specific time, just as often as I question my belonging. It usually is not the fear of failure, but the fear of success that keeps us from becoming who we aspire to become or achieve what we strive to achieve, and life has taught me that the more you get obsessed with something, the further you push it away from you. That strong desire for change is becoming an obsession and is backfiring at me with more routine. As the eye sees only what the soul desires to see, I could only see that we all live in a hollow, pointless life cycle. Which is not the case. I still find something alluring about the sight of an open road; a glimpse of freedom, a sense of adventure and mystery. But, throughout the course of life, we often have to stop, take a step back and reflect. We have to make sense of the nonsense, find sequence and order in vagueness. The destination would most likely be the realization of the potential passion that's been waiting on hold for too long. Or even better, the merge of that potential passion with one of the already discovered ones. The problem is, I'm just too eager. I can't wait to reach my destination, but I'm certain that I'm on the right track. Patience, persistence, courage and faith are usually all we need to keep moving forward.

Reflection

The good always comes with the bad, it's how the universe works. The important thing is to have the ability to overlook the bad and enjoy the good. Moreover, learning to look forward to the right things; those who are within your reach at the moment, the safe ones, is crucial , and give them your undivided attention while keeping in mind that things come when the time is right. Don't rush things, even if you don't see it from your limited scope, everything will fall in place exactly when they're supposed to. Have faith. If you feel that everything keeps turning around, things are constantly and rapidly changing, it's simply because things never stay the same, change is the only constant in life. So, learn to adapt to change, for change is always healthy and refreshing to the soul. Always set goals, challenge yourself and work hard on bringing the best in you. Never stop growing and improving yourself if you want to make a difference and feel that you're doing something worthwhile, because eventually, you'll find out that no one genuinely cares about what you do with your life. Everyone is more concerned with theirs. So, always try to be something, to be someone. Make a name for yourself, for your own self. Leave a mark in this world, give your existence a meaning, and your life a purpose. You'll make the people who do care about you proud and happy along the way. More importantly, you'll make yourself proud, and happy with who you are, what you've made of yourself and what you've accomplished. You'll find your inner peace and achieve self-actualization.

The Open Road

The sight of an open road represents a journey, one that's about to start or one that's already begun but is yet to finish. It could reflect some sort of vagueness and uncertainty to some, but I see it as a challenge; a road that needs to be taken. Curiosity drives me to find out what's on the other end of that road. The sight of an open road is similar to the sight of a vast area of water ending at the horizon; they both symbolize freedom and lead you to limitless imagination. Two essential things to the human soul, and greatly underrated by most people. Freedom in going wherever you desire, and doing whatever your imagination guides you to do. As a wise man once said: "Twenty years from now you'll be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." And that is exactly what an open road offers you; a chance to explore, dream and discover. Explore, for the core of man's spirit comes from new experiences. Discover, as discoveries are what drive us to eagerly reach out and without fear for newer and richer experience. Dream, because dreams are the fuel to wonderful achievements. Cross that vast area of water and see for yourself what's on the other side, take that open road and find out where it leads. Stop existing and start living.

The Nonstate

The indefinite, the indifference and the unknown. First, you lack the ability to define it; to put a label on it, yet you're ecstatic about its existence, and its presence means the whole world to you. Later on, you decide to stop trying to identify it and start enjoying it indifferently. It appears joyful and cheerful, yet remains meaningless at core. Thirdly, it becomes the unknown. After failing to define it earlier, and after trouble starts to occur, you no longer know what it is. Is it good? Is it bad? Do I need it?-Are questions you start asking yourself constantly. It turns into a source of discontent and discomfort, a burden on the shoulders and brings unbearable aches; the worst aches. Mixed feelings commence to barge in like an undesired guest into a crowded room. More questions hover inside your head, you find yourself perplexed while trying to diagnose and analyze the absurd issue. In the end, you maturely let go, walk away and move on with your life as it never stops for nothing. It goes on, it always does. And, sometimes letting go and walking away from unresolved matters isn't as harmful as trying to work things out and clearing the air. Move on with a smile in the back of your soul, for everything you experience contributes in building your character. Believe deep down that everything happens for a reason. Gracefully accept that and have faith.

Embrace diversity.

The joy resulting from changing something/someone to what suits you better or makes you more comfortable with it/them, is fairly equivalent to the one resulting from accepting things/people just the way they are. Nonetheless, constantly trying to change things/people will unquestionably have an entirely different result; disappointment. And, you'll usually be closer to failure then success. Simply because the diversity in the world we live in is beyond classification. The factors affecting people's general behavior, for instance, are countless. I certainly am no sociologist, but I just try to put what I notice and experience personally throughout my life in those simple words. The odds of being wrong are almost equivalent to the ones of being right. But, I find joy in expressing my random thoughts and sharing a piece of my mind with whoever reads this. Maybe one sentence, or even one word, would someday get to someone and change their whole lives. And, maybe no one will ever bother to read the nonsense I write and that wouldn't be the end of the world. Believe in what you're doing and, for the love of god, do what you believe in. Accept people just the way they are, for there is always good in everyone.

1881's Dawn

While acquiring what your soul desires is not currently an available option, you find yourself obligated to learn how to adapt to your current situation, and make the best out of it. Make the best out of it so that later on in your life you don't regret wasting all of your time and effort, basically wasting your life, for nothing. Make it count, make the days count. No matter how small or insignificant the outcome may seem, someday it may be worthwhile. Embrace your life, love it and enjoy it for there are hundreds or maybe thousands of people out there in the world wishing for half of the things you have. Always remember those who are inferior to you, only then you become aware of how blessed you are. While looking at the ones superior to you will only shatter you into smithereens. Know exactly where your feet are and learn how to pace towards your destination. Set many achievable goals along the way, in order to constantly boost your confidence and motivate you. The road is usually paved with difficulties and sacrifices, therefore always keep in mind your utmost goal and trust in whatever you want to trust that things will, eventually, all work out. One way or another.
